TRAINING

Company Training Schedule

1^st Tuesday of every month:

Training on this day will be dedicated to SAFETY and will include review of firefighter close calls from around the country.

2^nd Tuesday of each month:

Training will focus on all facets of ENGINE COMPANY Operations. This training will include both classroom and hands on evolutions.

3rd Tuesday of each month

In-service Driver Training including review of safe driving, pump operations and more. This training will be both classroom and field operations.

4^th Tuesday of each month:

Training will focus on SQUAD Operations including but not limited to vehicle extrication, RIT and more. This training will include both classroom and hands on evolutions.

Application for seating in MFRI courses may be made at any time up to 20 calendar days prior to the advertised course start date. Please provide your regional office/registration center with the following information:

Applicant's name; social security number; telephone number; department affiliation; class course code; EMS expiration date, if applicable; and location.

The registration center will issue a confirmation/stand-by letter to the applicant's department, after the pre-registration close date. An applicant's status may be checked with the regional office/registration center at any time. All weekday courses are subject to the scheduling of occasional weekend sessions.
