Special Wildland Fire Training with DNR

Company Training Schedule
1st
Tuesday of every month:
Training on
this day will be dedicated to SAFETY and will include
review of firefighter close calls from around the country as
well as reviewing company SOG's and policies.
2nd
Tuesday of each month:
Training focuses on all facets of ENGINE COMPANY
Operations. This training include both classroom and hands on
evolutions.
 
FF's Steve Jacobs, Joe Miller, Zack Reid
& Dustin Blair practice "quick raise"
procedure of extension ladder. A very valuable tool in 2nd
story rescue on a fire scene.
3rd Tuesday of each
month
In-service Driver
Training including review of safe driving, pump operations
and more. This training is held in the classroom and as
well as the field.
4th
Tuesday of each month:
Training focuses on SQUAD Operations including but not limited
to vehicle extrication, RIT and more. This training includes
both classroom and hands on evolutions.
When the Hurst Tool is down, it's back to basics.
FF's refresh their skills using hand tools to extricate victim
in mock-up MVA
